Write to the Minister about the SIREG collapse
Owners can ask the Ontario government to investigate what happened at SIREG Management Inc. and to protect owners and tenants. This page helps you write your own letter in a few minutes.
Hon. Stephen Crawford, Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement
Email: stephen.crawford@ontario.ca
His ministry is responsible for the Condominium Act, 1998 and oversees the Condominium Authority of Ontario (CAO) and the Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO).

What the CAO told owners on October 8
- CAO guidance is general information. It is not legal advice and it is not binding.
- Owners should get their own legal advice about their building.
- The CAO said it is open to working with owners to find creative solutions within its authority, and to raising these gaps with the Minister.
This page is general information only. Not legal advice. Condo Owners Network is a volunteer owners’ group, not a law firm. The letter includes this note too.

About the figures in the letter
- The dollar amounts come from SIREG Management Inc.’s preliminary list of creditors as at September 24, 2026, “as submitted by the Company without admission as to any liability”. They are amounts listed as owed, not proven debts.
- The list is for SIREG Management Inc. as a whole. It does not say which building each bill belongs to.
- “Utilities” is our grouping of 26 listed creditors (power, gas and water). Total: $2,811,756 of $5,066,005.25 (55.5%).
- The October 22 insurance deadline was raised on the October 8 CAO call for at least one building. It may not apply to yours.
- We don’t have reliable tenant numbers, so the letter doesn’t give any.
